Drop in to the Winona County History Center for our Museum Makers Class: Vintage Valentines! Create some old-time Valentines for your sweeties. Exchanging handmade Valentine’s Day cards began in America in the early 1700s. Manufactured cards appeared as early as the 1830s. After this time, the availability of paper and a universal postal system made valentines more accessible.
