The seasonal favorite is back — Pisanki! Join WCHS member and volunteer, Lori Ortega, in Museum Makers Class: Pisanki. She will help you to create your own colorful egg masterpiece. All the supplies are provided, and you can take your decorated egg home. Best for 12 and older, any minors must be accompanied by an adult.
Pisanki are colored, decorated eggs and a tradition native to Poland and other East and Central European countries. The word pisanki comes from the Polish verb pisac, which means “to write”. This class will use a technique that involves a metal funnel at the end of a stick, called a kistka, to create designs with warm wax.
