It’s been another bittersweet month at Winona County Historical Society.
Our incredible curator, Lindsay Stussy, is moving to Duluth, Minnesota. She heads into a new chapter of her life with warm feelings for Winona and all of the WCHS community members and supporters. Thank you, Lindsay, for pouring your heart and soul into this place! We are incredibly grateful for you.
Though we will miss her dearly, we know that Lindsay will succeed in whatever she does in her future career and will bring her kind, caring, history-loving spirit to the people she encounters in her new home. What a gift to the community of Duluth!
Before she goes, Lindsay has a few words to say to all those who have touched her life in Winona and during her time at WCHS:
I started at the Winona County History Center during my final year at Saint Mary’s University doing exhibit research as an intern in the archives. I very quickly became fascinated by local history and made it my goal to learn everything that I could. I wouldn’t be here today without the people who supported me and gave me the opportunity to learn.
I have such deep gratitude and love for this organization and the staff, board members, volunteers, donors, and visitors who have made this such a beautiful and rewarding place to be. I will never forget all that I’ve learned from this community, and I hope to carry it forward as I move to Duluth, Minnesota. Thank you for everything!
